When printing or copying material from this website for educational purposes you must include the copyright notice in (a) and the material must be provided without cost and not for commercial gain.

Any electronic material downloaded from the website may not be modified, whether for personal use, educational use, or distribution and is licensed subject to these terms of use.

4) Privacy

(a) Mailing lists

If you provide any information about yourself to our website (for example, your email address) for the purposes of a mailing list (or similar), we promise to use this information solely for the purposes of:

  • providing relevant information regarding Mobile Science Education programs and offers to you;
  • maintaining an offline database of subscribers to the mailing list.

We will not use this information for any other marketing to you, nor will we provide your information to another person for any reason (for example, we will not give your email address to another person so they can send marketing information to you).
We will only provide this information to a third party if we are compelled by law to do so.
We will ensure, so far as is reasonable in the circumstances, that security precautions are in place at our office to ensure this information is not misused. We are not responsible for the illegal online activity of third parties.

(b) Interactive features

This site may contain or link to interactive features. In this event, the questions you ask and the answers we give will be confidential between us. We will not provide any information related to the interactive session to any other person except as required by law.

(c) Surveys

This website may request your participation in a survey. When we do this we use the results only for the purposes of updating and improving the website, or for the purpose stated on the survey itself. We do not pass this information on to any other party. In the case of online program feedback forms, quotes may be removed from context and stripped of identifying details for use in advertising.

(d) Corrections/update policy

Mobile Science Education offers users the ability to correct or change the information collected during registration for any interactive area (see above). Website users may change this information at any time and as often as necessary. Website users who are experiencing problems or who have any questions about how our services work can contact us via phone or email.

(e) Delete/deactivate policy

Users may unsubscribe to any of our electronic newsletters at any time by following the instructions contained at the end of every newsletter. Users wishing to be completely deleted from our mailing list or database may contact us directly at info@mobilescienceeducation.com.au and we will manually delete all information as requested.

(f) Privacy complaints

If you have a complaint about how your private information has been handled by Mobile Science Education, the following will occur:

  • the Complaint is free of charge to you;
  • the Complaint must be in hard-copy (ie not in electronic form), must include your return address, and be marked and posted as follows:

5) Booking Terms and Conditions

a) Supervision

All classes must be ACTIVELY SUPERVISED. This means there must be an adequate number of the clients' staff present for the duration of the session.

b) Duty of Care

Representatives of Mobile Science Education DO NOT have a legal duty of care. This remains the responsibility of the client. Teachers are reminded that they may not, under law, abrogate their duty of care to third parties.

c) Performance Space

Performance spaces must be cleared of all potential hazards before the Mobile Science Education representative arrives on site to minimise risk of accidents occurring during movement activities.

d) Other Adult Supervisors

The client is responsible for ensuring any supervising adults meet the client's guidelines and legal requirements by having the correct clearances to work with children e.g. police checks, mandated notification training, etc.

e) Photography

Mobile Science Education must obtain permission from the client before taking photographs or video footage of any children present at a performance. Permission is granted to the client to take still photographs during the performance. Clients wishing to make a video recording of any part or all of the performance must obtain permission first.

f) Confirmation/Invoice

For every booking, a 'Booking Confirmation' will be forwarded to the client. This booking confirmation may also be the tax invoice; however, in the case of programs charged on a fee-per-participant basis, the invoice will be either be delivered on the day of the program, or at a later date via email.

g) GST

Mobile Science Education is currently registered for GST. All GST will be itemised on any financial correspondence.

h) Cancellations

Programs cancelled with 10 or less (but more than 5) business days notice will be charged a 25% cancellation fee. Programs cancelled by the client with only 5 or less business days notice will be charged at the full rate. Programs cancelled due to inclement weather events (extreme temperatures, extreme winds, floods, etc) or extreme events beyond the clients control (arson attack at the school, for example) shall be considered 'no fault' and incur no charges or penalties to either party.

i) Consent

On making a booking reservation, it is assumed that the client has read and is agreeing to the above terms and conditions outlined in Section 5 of this page and agreeing to abide by the Copyright as described in Section 2 of this page.
