Pelican Point Power Station, owned by GDF Suez Australian Energy, is one of the most efficient power stations in the southern hemisphere.  Bring your students on a FREE excursion to find out how.

  
 

Mobile Science Education has been operating this successful Industry Tour at Outer Harbour since January 1st 2009 and since then has seen over 7000 students and teachers. The program, which began its life with the Investigator Science and Technology Centre, has been extensively redesigned to be brought up to date and in line with the National Curriculum. The Pelican Point Power Station Tour has re-established its reputation as a trusted and respected educational resource for South Australian students of any age.

 

Each 90 minute excursion is FREE and includes:

  • Interactive Science Show and Activities
  • Tour of the Plant
  • Visit to the Control Room to meet the operators (during school term only)

Times

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays,
    from mid January to the end of Term 4
    9.30am - 11.00am, 11.15am - 12.45pm, 1:00pm - 2.30pm

  • 30 per session

Year level

  • Age appropriate programs for Reception to Year 12
 Tour Group

Requirements:

All Visitors Must Wear Closed Shoes
