Description(click here to see curriculum links)
Using anatomy models, interactive demonstrations and audience participation we will explore major body systems, especially the skeletal system, muscle system and the cardiac and respiratory systems. As well as making connections between different body systems, we will also look at some of the signs of our connection to other vertebrates, and some of the advantages and disadvantages of our ancestors 'standing tall' will be discussed.
You then have the option to explore either:
- The Digestive System - follow the journey of your food “from chew to poo”
- Sensory Systems - briefly explore the interaction between your five external senses and your brain, along with a few more internal senses you never knew you had
- Reproductive Systems - using models, get anatomically detailed about where we all came from and the progression of a pregnancy
Let us know what you'd like to see and we'll do our best to include it.
