Description

(click here to see curriculum links)

An interactive exploration of forces, pressure and some of the strange thoughts people have had about them through the ages. On a tour from ancient Greece to Einstein we ask: What is a force? Does air ‘push’? Who is this 'Isaac Newton’ guy and what does he have to do with falling over? We explore how forces can be exerted and how they affect movement.

We also give students a first peek at the concept of pressure - how forces can be spread over an area. Are you brave enough to trust your body to science and stretch out on our full-size bed-of-nails? Oh... and we also bring a hovercraft. Because we can.
