An introduction to chemistry - what it is, how it works and how to avoid stepping in it.  Mess will be made, things will catch fire and students will go ooh, but they may learn a thing or two about the scientific method along the way, and why there really is no such thing as ‘chemical free’ food.

Topics touched upon include: safety, acids and bases, indicators, concentration, reaction rates, combustion and flame colours.
