The first of a suite of biology programs launched. |
The first biology/human anatomy program has been launched with great success - 'Inside Your Body'.
This program, which provides an overview of different body systems and how they work together, is only the first of a group of shows due to be launched through 2010. These 45 minute shows (combine two for your 90 minute session) will each focus on a different system of the body, providing more detail than the simple overview of the 'Inside Your Body' program.
If you have any requests for particular programs, now's the time to let me know here. |

New Programs and Products |
New Maths program |
Our new puzzle-based mathematics program is here - 'Amazing Maths'. Test your students' ingenuity, team work and problem solving skills as we pit peer vs peer in a mental battle to the death.
Okay, maybe not to the death, but the students really get into it. Finally, a maths lesson that's noisy for the right reasons. Check it out here and here. |

New Human Body program |
Check out our Program page here to see our newest show, 'Inside Your Body'. We take a tour of some of the different systems in the human body - skeletal system, circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system (in more detail) and the nervous system, including different sense.
This whirlwind tour of the body provides an overview of the human biology, using models, demonstrations and actions - a great way to start a unit of work, or to round it off. |

New Electricity and Magnetism program |
The 'Electrickery' 90 minute show was launched in the school holidays (check out our Program page here for details). Electrocute your students - seriously! While you're at it, we can explore some of the very strange behaviour of magnets and the new (and totally fascinating) ferrofluid - a nano-tech based liquid that responds to magnetic fields.
Your students will explore the connection between magnetism and electricity, learn why there is no such thing as 'static electricity' explore the strange behaviours of objects in an electric field. |

New Product: full set of laminated 'Planet Cards'

Many teachers have expressed an interest in the 'Planet Cards' used in the Young Astronomers program. Well, now they've been revamped, updated and expanded to include the dwarf planets and are now available to buy. Each laminated card is accurately scaled (approx: 1:620,000,000!) and labelled.
You can buy a single set, which includes the eight planets, the five dwarf planets and Earth's moon, or a class set of 10 packs. Each order will also receive 2 information cards, one listing the planets and their moons, and one giving a summary of the reasons why Pluto is no longer considered a planet and what 'teachable moments' can come from this. |
